    The MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) program at GEIMS, the best MBBS college in Dehradun is meticulously designed to cultivate competent, compassionate, and skilled medical professionals.     The MBBS program at GEIMS follows a structured curriculum that spans over 5.6 years, including a one-year compulsory rotatory internship. The course is divided into pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical phases:

    • Pre-Clinical Phase: This phase covers the basic sciences, including Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry. Students gain a solid understanding of the human body’s structure and function.
    • Para-Clinical Phase: During this phase, students study subjects like Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, and Forensic Medicine. This phase bridges the gap between basic sciences and clinical subjects.
    • Clinical Phase: The clinical phase focuses on practical training in various medical disciplines such as Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Psychiatry, Dermatology, and more. Students rotate through different departments to gain hands-on experience in patient care

    How to Apply at GEIMS

    Step 1: Ensure NEET qualification for MBBS admission.

    Step 2: Register online at www.mcc.nic.in for Deemed University counselling

    Step 3: Prioritize Graphic Era Institute of Medical Sciences  (GEIMS) as your first choice during choice filling in round 1 for MBBS.

    Step 4: Stay updated on All Deemed University merit announcements at www.mcc.nic.in

    Step 5: If allotted a seat at GEIMS, download the allotment letter and complete verification and fee payment as per scheduled dates.

    Step 6: In case of non-allotment, continue with subsequent counselling rounds (Round 2, Mop-up round, and stray vacancy) with GEIMS as your first preference.

    State of the art Cath Lab

    The cutting edge equipment and medical infrastructure being utilised at GEIMS bears testimony to the vision that the institution beholds. Our Cath Lab is a top spec fully loaded high-end machine with dedicated haemodynamic monitors and dedicated ventilators. Our cardiologists are already performing some of the most complex medical procedures in the country including Pediatric Cardiac Surgeries.

    128 Slice CT-Scan capable of CT-Angio

    The General Electric 128 Slice CT-Scan is the highest Grade CT-Scan currently being operated in the region and possesses the capability of CT-Angio proving to be immensely valuable for the citizens of the state.

    3 Tesla MRI

    The MRI machine at GEIMS is a top of the line deployment competing with Global Standards covering all possible scans at a state of the art facility and is the highest grade 3 Tesla MRI in the region currently. The Research Spec machine has been deployed with the vision of conducting high-end radiology research as and when the Speciality Department for medical education comes up. Our UG Students will be exposed to the best machine currently offer in India as a part of their MBBS studies.

    Modular Operation Theatres

    A total of 12 World-Class Modular Operation Theatres are commissioned and available at GEIMS. The Operational Theatres are loaded with World-Class Infra including top of the line Operation Tables from International Brands, International Surgical Instruments, World Leading Anaesthesia machines and much more.

    Library

    The Library at GEIMS is a truly world class facility with two floors of dedicated space for an aesthetically pleasing and thoroughly equipped knowledge centre. The Library possesses all the required reference material and an array of online journals accessible through a dedicated digital library setup. The library also features a 24X7 Operational External Reading Room along with a host of discussion and other sections built in the facility.

    Museums

    All departments have a very well equipped museum for extended learning commissioned in the various departments at the main academic block. The museums are carefully curated with all the required artefacts present for an immersive learning experience.

    Virtual Dissection Facility

    GEIMS has been established as a Center of Excellence for medical education and one such facility that highlights the vision of the institute is the presence of Virtual Dissection facility right from Day-1. In addition to the Anatomy setup mandated by NMC, GEIMS has commissioned a completely digital Virtual Dissection facility in the form of a digital dissection table available for the students of MBBS from Day-1.

    Dedicated Critical Care Facility

    GEIMS in pursuit of Medical Excellence has well established Critical Care facilities catering to Cardiac Critical Care, Neuro Critical Care, Respiratory Critical Care. The ICUs at GEIMS are some of the best in the country including multiple full isolation ICUs equipped with some of the best specialists in the country and the best equipment.

    Fully digitised Lecture Theatre

    The lecture theatres at GEIMS including one in the Hospital is a sight to behold. The Lecture theatres are completely digitised with multiple projection screens for extended learning and a fully digitised touch enabled digital podium for digital learning for all students.

    Graphic Era Deemed to be University, founded by Prof. (Dr.) Kamal Ghanshala in 1993, has revolutionized higher education in Dehradun. Evolving from a computer training center to Graphic Era Institute of Technology in 1997, it achieved Deemed University status in 2008 and an 'A+' grade from NAAC in 2022.
